Madurai Meenakshi Amman temple has a great mythological significance that Lord Shiva assumed the form of Sundareswarar and married Parvati (Meenakshi) where the Meenakshi Sundareshwara Temple located.

The 1000 pillar hall is an example of Sanatan architecture excellence.

I observe that many yathris(mostly from other states) visit Srirangam Ranganathaswamy Temple but miss the opportunity of visiting Jambukeshwara Temple which is a Panchabootha stalam. May be out of ignorance. This temple is located very close to the famous vaishnava shrine, Sri Rangam. This temple Thiruvanaikkaval / Jambukeswarar temple is the Jala sthala amongst the pancha bhoota Siva Temples, The deity is surrounded by water which is a rare presence of the Lord Can't describe in words but this is fabulous most amazing temple
